It's summer. Ice cream. Friends. Pool hangs. Vacations. We get it, you want to enjoy your break.
But we've got a little tip for you. Getting started on your work in the summer means you'll make life SO much easier on yourself. And it's only 2 hours a day.
Then in September, you'll be miles ahead of your classmates, and everything will be so much easier to understand in class!
We offer summer tutoring, and in our program, you come in twice a week for two hours. You're assigned homework, which takes 1-2 hours a day. And that's it! With only a little work in the summer, you'll be super prepared for the upcoming school year. Here are a few tips and tricks that we've found work for our students.
1. Get up relatively early. We're not talking 6am here but try to up by 8:30-9. It means a longer summer day for you, and who wants to miss out on that?
2. Do your work first. It's likely that if you continue to procrastinate and put off your daily work, it won't get done. You'll be dreading it all day and that's not the greatest feeling. If you do it first thing in the morning (after breakfast of course), then you'll have the rest of the day to enjoy yourself.
3. Make a schedule. This way you know what you have to do, when you need to have it done, and how much time to give yourself to complete it. You can also schedule in summer fun things - upcoming cottage trips, vacations, BFF dates - so you have something to look forward to after you finish your work! See more about how to make a schedule here.
Follow all our tips and we promise you can have the best of both worlds. Learning for a few hours a day, and then really enjoying the summer break the rest of the time.
